The book covers 12 walks in the Rethymnon area: one around the highlights of the heart of the historic old town, eleven amongst the villages and hills to the southwest, south and southeast, including the villages of Agia Irini, Armeni, Kapediana, Khromonastiri, Maroulas, Prasies, Rousospiti, and Xiro Horio, plus Mt Vrysinas. In addition there are three walks in the Georgioupolis area, including Alikambos, Exopolis, Kournas, Likotinara, Mathes and Vryses.
Sketch maps of Rethymnon town centre and the villages of Armeni, Georgioupolis, Khromonastiri, Kournas and Rousospiti are included in the text.
