The introduction describes various local habitats and the particular
plant species found in them.
The Stoupa region is from Kardamyli and the Vyrou Gorge in the north, to Langada and Trahila in the south, bordered inland by the villages of Prosilio, Tseria, Saidona, Kastania, Karyovouni, and Platsa. The area includes the villages of Agia Sofia, Agios Dimitrios, Agios Nikolaos, Exohori, Kotroni, Lakkos, Lefktro, Neohori, Petrovouni, Pigi, Pyrgos Lefktrou, Ringlia and Stoupa. Some of the records for the Vyrou Gorge are up to an hour's walk inland from the Tseria path.
Lists of birds, reptiles and butterflies seen in the area are also included.

The plant checklist is a text-only A5 booklet with a card cover, listing species and subspecies recorded for the area. It is arranged alphabetically by and within families, with current taxonomy, scientific synonymy, English names where known, and endemic species marked as such.
