If emailing pictures for identification, please do not email large numbers of large pictures. Picture files should be in .jpg format and less than 1Mb (1000Kb) each. If you have very large picture files, try reducing the overall quality a little, or trim away the irrelevant detail around the edge, or both.
If you need plant photos identified, please state (at least) the location and (approximate) date, plus the (approximate) height of the plant and the habitat if these are not obvious from the photo itself.
Please do not send .zip files, as we will not open these.
We will aim to acknowledge all requests as soon as possible, and advise how long a full reply should take. Please do not post actual photos or plant specimens to us, without checking with us first.
