The Pilion area of eastern
mainland Greece, as defined in this book, includes:
south: the area south of Afissos, Afetes and Neohori, including Trikeri and Mt Tisseo.
northwest: the area bordered by Volos, Glafira, Kerasia, Makrinitsa, Portaria, Drakia, Milies and Kala Nera.
northeast: the east coast from Pouri through Zagora, Mouresi, Tsangarada, Xourikhti and Lambinou to Kalamaki,
and the upper areas of the main Mt Pilion ridge including Hania.
