The Akamas area includes Agia Ekaterini, Agios Isidoros, Androlikou, Baths of Afrodite, Fontana Amoroza, Drousha, Fasli, Holi, Hrysohou, Inia, Karamoulides, Kato Akourdalia, Kinousa, Kritou Tera, Lara, Latchi, Makounta, Neohorio, Pano Akourdalia, Pelathousa, Polis, Prodromi, Skoulli, Steni and Tera.
In view of the popularity of the Agios Georgios Peyias and Avgas (Avakas) Gorge area (southwest of Akamas), additional species recorded from this area but not from the Akamas area defined above are included and marked with an *AG. The majority of these species are likely also to occur, though unrecorded as yet, within the defined Akamas area.
Various local habitats are described, and the particular plant
species found in them.
A brief bird list is included.
